In the process of developing the design further, the tapering decks with varying widths are connected with inclined walls to form a wrap-around design. A compelling visual outcome is achieved by the design of alternating, angled balconies that animate the façade, especially when coupled with the interplay of light and shadow. The residents wanted full length balconies across the living room and bedroom, such as a full deck. Instead of normal balconies stacked one on top of another, double-height balconies are provided to craft an open-to-sky experience, while allowing for cross-ventilation through the living-dining rooms.
