Dr. Kiran A. Shinde is unique combination of an academician and a professional practitioner with wide ranging experience across consulting projects, research, and teaching. He heads the Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Architecture, Pune. As a practicing professional, he runs a private practice in Pune and has worked on several urban planning projects in the past including the Master Plan for Pune city and other environmental management assignments. He has trained under the guidance of Master Architects including A.P. Kanvinde and B.V. Doshi. His qualifications include a PhD from Monash University, Australia; two Masters Degrees- one in Urban Management from Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand and one in Urban Planning from CEPT University, India. He has a bachelors degree in Architecture from Pune University, India.
