Having qualified as an architect (MSU, Baroda,1995) and an urban planner (CEPT, Ahmedabad, 1997) and shifting to Mumbai immediately as a consequence of marriage, I worked initially with various architectural firms here and also taught at architectural institutes. Later, being limited in time and mobility by domestic compulsions, I decided to explore my flare for writing. I was fortunate to have come across some good opportunities in this direction, especially at Kalayojan Architects headed by Shri Sanjay Porwal. Here, at Kalayojan, I did graphic and textual presentations for articles in periodicals, competitions, tenders, seminar papers, and compiled a book about the organisation, as well as developed their website. At present, I work as a design writer on a freelance basis.
My work area includes graphic and textual presentations on design related topics for articles in periodicals, seminar papers, books and other media including online media. I work from home on a freelance basis.
