With a built up area of 7500 sft. On a plot area of 12000 sft, this four-bedroom house with an open flow plan was conceived of as a play of masses and voids from the exterior. White walls were juxtaposed with distinctive exposed concrete roof slabs that seemingly float over them. A controlled hint of yellow ochre on certain planes, and slit windows with wooden slats maintain privacy while also allowing for opening out to the views.
Entrance to the House. On entry, monoliths in local Sadarahalli stone lead up to a yellow feature wall with a brass mural of a fruit tree. A slatted timber door with a single operable panel leads into the double height foyer with a ceiling in exposed polished cement.
