Set off a 12 acre island in the Maldives, this was a project of 16 luxury villas over water, on a separate lagoon, set 400 meters out into the ocean from the main resort. The villas are designed as clusters of rooms with pyramidal roof forms opening out into a central open deck with a private infinity plunge pools. Eco-sensitive and sustainable architecture of timber and thatch on stilts was proposed. Special care was taken to preserve the rich variety of corals and marine life beneath.
