CLIENT: EKAYA BANARAS STATUS: COMPLETED IN 2014 AREA: 3,000 SQ. FT LOCATION: DEFENCE COLONY The concept was articulated by multiple interventions both at the level of Spatial Configuration and Materiality. The store on first floor is divided into five zones, small courtyard like pockets allowing different groups of customers to have private buying experiences with each zone separated/surrounded by the display units. The nature of the display allows visual connection between each zone.
The spatial layout of each zone is dictated by the product itself. There are three kinds of spatial relationships that have been created – Browsing, and across the counter sale and a longer and more personal transaction.
