One of the latest Bollywood stars who’s got herself a swanky new pad in Juhu is Alia Bhatt! Hooking up with interior designer Richa Bahl for professional assistance, Alia’s home now has a stunning décor – that complements the talented actress’s personality and style.

Richa Bahl started off with a career in advertising and while revamping her own home, accidentally discovered that her real passion lay in interior designing. In 2009, she set up a design studio and started professional practice. Global aesthetic influences reflect in the work of the studio; emerging as a fusion of east and west; old and new. Wife of acclaimed director Vikas Bahl, Richa's clients come mainly from the entertainment industry! Slowly and steadily, Richa Bahl’s design studio has made its way up the social grapevine.

The latest from the studio is a plush apartment for the current Bollywood heartthrob Alia Bhatt! Equipped with a shoe-corner, a make-up closet, a dressing area, besides the mandatory living-dining space, kitchen and bathroom; as well as a few more interesting spaces such as a reading corner and a thinking corner – the apartment has Alia Bhatt’s signature style all over it. Another thing Alia absolutely insisted on having in the home was a “tea bar” because apparently she’s “really into tea - just totally obsessed.”

The renovation took around a year and a half. The four-bed apartment was reconfigured to three; and specific amenities were added considering the actress’s specific needs. Alia’s dressing room, for instance, was crafted out as a separate space to ensure the rest of the house would not get disturbed in the hustle and bustle of trials and fittings.

And of course the glamorous star's clothes and accessories and shoes and make-up have dedicated spaces in the home; as do her books! The reading corner, thinking corner and seating corner further add charm to the highly bespoke home interior.

White walls, plush sofas, concrete-tiled floors and expansive windows mark the space. The elegant theme is enhanced with muted lighting. Youthfully gracious, fashionably flamboyant and oozing with style – that’s the feel of the décor of the home!
