Ceiling Work
A ceiling is an overhead interior surface that covers a built space. It is a finished surface concealing the underside of the roof structure or the floor of a floor above. Ceilings can either be kept plain, or with simple mouldings, or they can be decorated based on the specific requirements of a space. The most common type of ceiling is the dropped ceiling which is suspended from structural elements above. Electrical conduits, air-conditioning ducts and other services such as insulation and fireproofing material are run in the gap above the ceiling, to conceal them from view. There are several options for the aesthetic treatment of a ceiling, so a Ceiling Contractor needs to have the right combination of skills and an artistic outlook.
