A painter is a skilled tradesperson responsible for the painting and decorating of buildings, internal or external. The purpose of painting is to improve the aesthetic of a building and to protect it from damage by external forces like water, rust, corrosion and insects.
Decorative painting is an extension; a more creative field of painting where the painter uses different materials and/or templates for creating an art-work on the wall/s. More popularly called wall-art, it can drastically alter the ambience of any interior.
