Housekeeping Services
Housekeeping or household management is the act of overseeing the organizational, day-to-day operations of a house or estate, and the managing of other domestic concerns. Housekeeping creates goods and services within a household, such as meals, childcare, household cleanliness, maintenance and repairs.
Extended to hospitality and corporate spheres, housekeeping services are an integral part of the operations. Common tasks include cleaning interiors and exteriors, maintaining lawns and outdoor/indoor plants and upkeep of accessories. This task is either done by an in-house team or outsourced to a contractor; who usually would then enter into an annual contractual agreement with the company.
This industry is extremely labour-intensive and has helped replace contract labour while providing employment to thousands of unskilled /semiskilled labour.
