Patients' Rooms / Wards
Post-surgery or after being shifted from Intensive Care Unit, patients need to be admitted in Recovery rooms for a couple of days till the doctor decides he/she is fit enough to be given a discharge.
These may be Wards (with more number of beds and sharing of amenities like washroom), Twin-sharing Rooms (with two beds in a room and one washroom) or Special Rooms (for single occupant, and with attached washroom). The rooms may be air-conditioned or non-air-conditioned.
Recovery rooms usually consist of beds with wheels for easy movement within the facility or even within the room. Beds can be raised and lowered at the head, feet, and their entire height. While on older beds, this is done with cranks usually found at the foot of the bed, on modern beds, this feature is electronic.
