Playground / Activity Layout
In schools, stadiums, clubs and other entertainment/hospitality venues, games and sports facilities are an important part of the design program. If space is a constraint and dedicated spaces cannot be allotted to specific sports, a small or large open ground usually becomes a multi-purpose entity.
A playground, play-park, or play area is an area demarcated for playing or physical activities. Usually associated with schools for younger children, they metamorphose based on user-groups and their purpose.
The Activity layout of a Sports Complex, for instance includes playground as an outdoor space and badminton court as an indoor facility. Many institutional buildings and large corporate parks also have open grounds in the layout, for organizing cultural and sports events.
