Art / Design Writers
Artists and Designers are thinkers, who conceive and visualize their creations and then execute them, or get them executed. It is then the responsibility of the writer to gather correct and relevant data and details about the project/product/creation and express the creator’s concept in words. Art and design writing is therefore a highly skilled job; requiring the writer to not only have an excellent command over the language but a complete understanding of the subject. Also, to be able to produce a piece of responsible and honest writing, the writer should, first and foremost, have a thorough knowledge of the subject. This empowers him/her to have an informed opinion, which he can back using facts and figures.
Not allowing subjective opinions to exert themselves into the writing, the writer needs to make an objective analysis and offer a moderate and tempered comment on the topic/person he/she is discussing in the piece.
