The outdoor environment also needs as much planning and care as the indoor one! Landscape designers therefore work in tandem with architects and interior designers to create stunning environments that complement the architect’s vision and the interior designer’s finesse. Besides macro-level planning, landscape design involves thorough knowledge of plants, their habitats and growth cycles, as well as climatology and soil types.
The landscape grows and matures with the building and it is therefore imperative to know the building’s exterior form, texture, material board and colours; and thereby have a clear vision of how the building/interior will look over the passage of time.
