Metalwork / Fabrication Contractors
Metal fabrication is a value-added process that involves the construction of protective grills, decorative metal items, machines and other structures. A fabrication workshop will bid on a job, usually based on the engineering drawings, and if awarded the contract will build the product. Alternatively, the building contractor may have teamed up with metal fabrication vendors in different localities who then are automatically given the fabrication jobs related to the project. Large fabrication workshops will employ a multitude of value-added processes in one plant or facility.
Fabrication workshops are employed by contractors. Typical projects include; loose parts, structural frames for buildings and heavy equipment, doors, window grills and hand railings and stairs for buildings. Outdoor furniture, beds, and table-bases are also often done by using metal fabrication.
