The design process for our latest residential project, a twentieth floor apartment in Malabar Hill, commenced as we stood by the living room window and soaked in the glorious view of the Arabian Sea. We were instinctively driven to capture the contradictory nature of the sea - tranquil and energetic. In step with this thought, the contemporary interiors, clean furniture lines and uncluttered spatial planning is challenged by the intrusion of patterns to create energy in a serene home. The guiding light for the dynamic patterns infused amid still furniture pieces comes from study of wave patterns, a mode of transport for energy. The client’s requirement of infusing colours into the home served our concept well – yellows, blues, greens and reds clashed against the shore on tone on tone neutral used all over the home.
