Thesis - Urban renewal of bhuleshwar (prototype)
Under the advent of globalization, urban renewal activities of large scale construction projects have been carried out actively in the city. The trend nowadays is that plots get redeveloped individually without any consideration for the surrounding or location.
If we go for cluster development instead of individual plots getting developed, it will benefit the area and city at large in terms of Widening of roads, Zoning of area, Generation of open spaces and Community space.
Concept and Zoning
After studying the area of bhuleshwar, a one acre plot was taken up as a prototype for the entire area. This plot was studied in depth to come up with a design intervention.
