Architect Ranna Parikh did her schooling in Kuwait and studied Architecture in Baroda. Opting to practise mainly in the field of Interior design, she has a huge portfolio of works; ranging from homes, art galleries, schools, universities, hospitals, boutiques, showrooms and corporate offices in her three decades of practise. She is the immediate past Chairperson of IIID (Indian Institute of Interior Designers), Ahmedabad Chapter. She visits several institutes of Design to take lectures and to participate in student Jury. She is passionate about her work and her colours! Colour plays an important role in her works. She wants people to see colours, touch and feel colours with their senses and to experience colour with the additional layers of human emotions....
A large part of her portfolio is the work she does for kids; schools, playgrounds and their spaces in homes. In the time when furniture and Interiors were not even heard of, she forayed into the kids world through exhibitions of children furniture and accessories. This was widely covered by the media. Also, her various works have been featured in several magazines. Amongst all her projects, she is known especially for her work in the kids world. We can safely say that Architect Ranna Parikh is the paediatrician amongst designers. She specializes in furniture for kids, their room, their school and even their playground. She delights in doing spaces for the little ones. When doing works for adults like homes and offices etc, she maintains that her colours spill over into the adult works too!
