THE CONTEMPLATIVE EYE OF SIDDHARTH ; 42" x 30" acryllic on canvas:
Prince Siddhartha in his father's kingdom enjoyed a pleasurable life, best described by poet Ashvagosha -and they stood around him, their minds absorbed in love and seemed to drink him with eyes that were moveless and blossomed wide in ecstasy. The excess state of desire had already sown the seeds to rebuff various human and materialistic attachments quite before the prince decided to abandon the worldly needs.
