The clients are a tech start-up as well as into provision of insurance policies. Their previous office space was clustered and tight. We as designers therefore wanted to give them, a space which was uncluttered, light and welcoming. A space where everyone was part of the same wider experience. The idea was to create a joyful environment for employees which increases productivity and effectiveness at work. The site area was 300 Sq. ft., a tight space with a brief to accommodate 10 staff, two directors and a small pantry. The office is thus visually divided into three different spaces, the Director’s working space, the workstation and a pantry with a chill out zone for relaxation, a signature space employed by the studio. This division gives a sense of privacy without actually creating a physical barriers. The director's space has been given ample privacy from the entrance through a custom designed see through partition made from reclaimed pinewood. This space is further defined by custom designed crates suspended from the ceiling. The workstations are made facing the walls with a high table with comfortable bar chairs occupying the central space. This high table which is another signature element of the studio allows the employees to work while standing and thus inspires movement and exercise. The chill out zone a cosy, comfortable relaxation space with a plush sofa, custom designed crate centre table and crates suspended from the exposed ceiling a more personalised space.
