HELIX BOOKS & AWARDS 2022-23 - updates!

Helix Books and Awards – www.helixawards.com – has arrived with a bang! With early bird entries rolling out on the 1^st of February 2022, the flagship initiative of three proposed books (Homes, Offices and Restaurants) under RISE Series 2022-23 has received tremendous response.

Basic participation is currently open; terminating on 31^st May! Entries can be submitted till 10^th June. From 1^st to 23^rd June the program will be open for extended participation. And the last date for submitting entries is 10^th July.

A participant can register and choose to participate in any one, or two, or all three books. In each book, there are 3 Categories and 6 Projects can be submitted across any of these categories. The registration fee includes a complimentary copy of one book; and every participant will also get featured in the articles section of TFOD – The Future Of Design, the media partners of Helix Books & Awards.

All entries will be graded by a jury comprising Ar. Rohini Mani, architect-author Harshad Bhatia, architect-sculptor Arzan Khambatta and design editor Maria Louis. At level one, the best projects will be featured in the books. And at level two, the top 50 entries – as graded by the jury – will also automatically get nominated for the Awards.

23 Awards will be declared – 2 each in all 3 Categories of 3 Books; 2 Helix Rising Stars and 2 Helix Super Powers; plus an additional Award - TFOD Supernova - from the media partners of Helix Books & Awards TFOD - The Future Of Design!

Adding to the Award Hamper is the Helix Yearbook; a unique compilation of monographs of the 23 Helix award-winning studios plus 7 Helix Stalwarts – tracing inspiring journeys from Indian architecture and design! The list of 7 Helix Stalwarts of 2022-23 will be announced shortly.

Each of the 23 award-winning studios will get 10-12 pages as their personal monographs in this compilation. This will include a critical analysis of the studio's journey and evolution, giving an overview of landmark projects; and a brief interview with the principal designer.

The 7 Helix Stalwarts will be inspiring architects and designers of India; handpicked for the Helix Yearbook. Monographs (10-12 pages features) of the Stalwarts will also trace their indivdual journeys along with a brief interview; highlighting their commitment to sustainability.
