“A seed of thought lends an idea that helps a space or product come alive. It seeps into your subconscious and transforms your experience within it. The outcome helps us portray the inward significance of things, rather than restrict its effect to outward appearances’ – that’s the design philosophy of Brand Flamingo

Flamingo creates a lifestyle of beauty and balance with spaces and products that reflect a blend of functionality, aesthetics and innovative technology. “A plausible inspiration for the legend of the Phoenix, the exquisite flamingo emanates functionality by standing on one leg, making it a symbol of beauty and balance. It is impacted by various cultures and experiences from world over, but retains its original style. Taking a cue from this remarkable bird, the brand Flamingo interacts with the world surrounding it and explores innovative ideas to create a lifestyle that fits you."

Aashni Pandya graduated from Academic Interior Design at Florence Design Academy, one of the highly acclaimed Interior Design schools in the world. After her undergraduate degree of Finance and Business Management at H.R. College of Commerce and Economics, she veered towards more creative pursuits of designing and writing. Initially drawn towards fashion designing, she eventually moved to interior design. An art aficionado, she is currently pursuing a part-time Post Graduate Diploma at Jnanapravaha in Indian Aesthetics.

Esha Pandya Choksi graduated with a Finance and Management degree from the undergraduate business program, at the McIntire School of Commerce, University of Virginia. After returning to India she joined her family business of interior fit-out contracting (Kaishar Interiors Pvt. Ltd.) where she discovered her passion for Interior Design. Subsequently, she got into the Interior Design program at Rachana Sansad School of Interior Design, Mumbai; where she is now a visiting professor.

They then jointly founded Flamingo Interiors – a design studio that provides Architecture and Interior Design services, and also designs customized furniture to fit the spaces they create. In architecture, they “take a plot of land and create a structure by providing it with architectural design and all corresponding services.” For interior projects, they either “take a bare shell and create an interior space, with all amenities and corresponding services; or they transform an interior space by remodelling it within the existing architectural context.”

Flamingo’s work demonstrates a high level of finesse and style – their aesthetic choices leaning strong towards eclecticism; finely blending classical with contemporary. TFOD - The Future Of Design commends the young studio’s charming design style and wishes them lots of luck and success on the path ahead.
