TFOD Profile Of The Week: SPDA, Gurgaon

Proudly claiming to have adopted the "Less is More" approach, SPDA designs have a distinctly simple and contemporary style that they term as ‘understated luxury’ – a concept that is seen to be getting increasing popularity in the present urban milieu. A strong affinity for contemporary aesthetics with overtones of ethnic Indian design; besides an intuitive perception of space and spatial elements and dimensions reflects clearly in SPDA’s portfolio.  

With a Bachelors in Interior Design from I.E.D. Vallabh Vidyanagar and an MA in Design Innovation from De Montfort University, Leicester, Shalini has garnered adequate experience in the field. Of the 10 years of experience in the field of design, Shalini has spent four years as a senior designer at the Interior Design & Architectural Consultancy firm, Dipen Gada & Associates in Baroda.  

Here she worked on residential as well as retail projects, gaining priceless experience and imbibing the trademark design aesthetic that DGA is famous for. Certainly, if only subconsciously, the same design language percolates into the SPDA psyche, and manifests in the interior spaces they craft out. 

Anubhuti Mewara - a Bachelors in Interior Design from I.E.D. Vallabh Vidyanagar - has over five years of interior design experience. After working as a project designer at boutique Architecture and Interior Design companies- Shalini & Amit Design Consultants, Archohm Consults and Metric Chants, working primarily on residential projects in Delhi and renovation hospitality projects in Jaipur, Anubhuti joined SPDA in 2014.

The combined experience and sensibilities of Shalini and Anubhuti have helped create a powerful identity for SPDA.
