The winning project by SMA was the exquisite design of amenities for Bellevue 92, an exclusive luxury residential building in Borivali, Mumbai, developed by the NRS group. SMA designed the clutch of social amenities provided on 7000 sq ft of the first and second floors of the Bellevue 92 for its privileged residents, including a business centre, a community hall, a café and a gymnasium.

The brief, obviously, was to delineate a luxurious experience with state-of-the-art facilities in each of these spaces and allow finely detailed grandeur to preside as the overriding theme. This theme of lavish grandeur becomes evident as one enters the reception lobby, which leads to Bizz Bellevue, the business lounge and Bistro Bellevue, the café on its two sides. The enormous inlay design in the regal floor of beige hued Italian marble enhances its exclusivity, and pairs with the elegant crystal chandelier above to create a resplendent aura, supported by fine detailing in furniture, finishes and customised chandeliers in other parts of the lobby. An elegant mirrored screen of laser-cut Arabesque pattern that matches the brand’s twin petalled butterfly shaped logo is visible up ahead, framing a grand entrance-way to the rest of the interiors.  A ghost piano placed in a corner and soothing background music together send out warm, homely vibes that can put a visitor at ease before they enter either the business centre or café for meetings and discussions..

Bizz Bellevue, the business centre, announces itself with bold brass letters embedded in the full glazed wall. The walnut wood doors open into a warm yet impactful salon setting, leading through another door into a completely equipped 6 seater conference room inside. The salon style meeting area has been divided into smaller settings using a laser cut screen, each part furnished with a set of plush sofas and tables. Delhi based firm Ark Design’s exquisitely crafted metallic mural ‘Tree of Life’ adorns the major wall, while elegant chandeliers and a decorative mirror complement and close the scheme with élan.

Bistro Bellevue, located behind a similarly glazed wall on the opposite side of the reception, is a café with a youthful vibe. Though the furniture in each compartmented zone comprises, again, sofas and armchairs, they are flashily styled and brightly coloured to inject the space with a high energy overtone. A colourful barcode patterned perforated screen suggests a subtle division between formal and informal seating areas, while a mirrored laser-cut screen covers the wall to form an elegant backdrop and matches step with designer rugs and more intricate chandeliers to brighten up the space. A beverage vending machine and an attached luxury washroom complete the scheme.

Elle Bellevue is a community hall located on the upper floor which can be used by residents to host events and parties. The elongated disposition of the space is bordered with rich drapes and mirrored counters. Large plush sofas occupy some shoulder bays, leaving the rest of the elegant herring bone patterned walnut floor free to be used in various ways. A large LCD screen takes care of screening requirements. The underlined richness is apparent in every provision, including the attached washroom adorned with gold framed mirror and gold lined wall tiles.

The same floor hosts Evolve Bellevue, a gymnasium with state-of-the-art facilities housed in swanky décor that caters to the fitness needs of the residents of 92 Bellevue. Mirror clad walls, carpeted floors and a veneer finished ceiling sporting an enormous lit up sign of ‘92’ leave no space for any doubt about the premium clients the space caters to.

The décor for these amenities at 92 Bellevue are consummately conceptualised as they hit the right median note between extravagant splendour and warm homely comfort.

The scheme has also been excellently executed with meticulous perfection in detailing and timely delivery. Both, the 92 Bellevue project as well as the interiors for the sample 3 bedroom apartment featured earlier showcase SMA’s capability to cater satisfactorily and unerringly to generic requirements of non-specific clients.
